ELİF ÖZEN

Elif ÖZEN (b. 1987, İzmir) graduated from Dokuz Eylül Fine Arts University, Painting Department in 2015, completed her MA in the same department in 2019. Her first solo exhibition 'Monochrome' took place in 2017 at Untitled Gallery, Oregon-USA. She took part in various group exhibitions organized by Mamut Art Project, Akbank Sanat, Pilevneli, Siemens Art, Coca project Italy, Rollo Scihim London- Tel-Aviv and Mixer. In her paintings reflected the artists long standing attempt to grapple with a contemporary world that is completely saturated with images. Images that embody the paradoxical status of being both completely over-bearing, yet irresistible, both entrancing and anxiety provoking. They exert an almost ghostly weightless presence, blurring past present and future and indeed our very notions of what constitutes reality. The artist has participated in CI Bloom, CI Art Fair and ArtWeeks (2023) and Artshow with KAIROS Gallery in 2024. In 2024, she took part in the exhibition called 'New Lands' at Arkas Sanat Alaçatı, which brought together nearly 150 artists.
