ECEM YÜKSEL

Born in Zonguldak (1989), Ecem Yüksel graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department in 2016. In her works she focuses on landscapes, figures and the instant images of people, animals and objects within her frame. The artist aims to manipulate the images that are easily accessible and form her own way of viewing. She focuses on the notion of being a spectator and taking a side and works on the instant images regarding these concepts. Working with various techniques of painting, the artist also produces sculptures, prints and artist books. The artist has participated in various projects, art fairs and group shows both in Turkey and abroad. Her first solo show at KAIROS Gallery, ‘’A Warm Welcome’’ opened in 2023. In 2024, she took part in the group exhibition 'Painting Today’ at Yapı Kredi Gallery. She lives and works in Berlin.
