ECEM YÜKSEL​

Ecem Yüksel (b. 1989, Zonguldak) graduated from the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts in 2016. Her works focus on landscapes, figures, and instantaneous images of people, animals, and objects within her frame. The artist aims to transform easily accessible images and create her own unique perspective. Concentrating on the notions of spectatorship and taking a stance, she works on instantaneous images related to these concepts. Working with various painting techniques, she also produces sculptures, prints, and artist books. She has participated in various projects, art fairs, and group exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad. Her first solo exhibition, “A Warm Welcome”, was held at KAIROS Gallery in 2023. In 2024, she took part in the group exhibition “Painting Today” at Yapı Kredi Gallery. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
