Once, other rhythms of the night lived in the memory of these streets. Doors opened only at certain hours, and only for certain people. Waiting, wondering, and hoping to be invited inside were all part of that rhythm. Bordel looks back at this memory with a subtle smile. With the new phase of KAIROS, the gallery is no longer a space that remains constantly open; it becomes a place visited by appointment, where encounters are intentionally arranged. This new structure proposes a deliberate visit instead of casual wandering, and an intense experimentation instead of rapid consumption. The exhibition borrows its title from the brothels that once existed in this neighborhood, using the word as a metaphor. Bordel reflects on the relationship between the gaze, desire, curiosity, and intimacy. The works in the exhibition do not operate through the direct representation of the body; instead they unfold through suggestion, touch, proximity, and tension. At times the images are as close to the viewer as skin; at others they remain as distant as something hidden behind a curtain. Bordel invites the viewer to reconsider the limits of looking and the circulation of desire. Just as it once was on these streets: the door opens by appointment.
