THE GARDEN OF THE SILENCED
KAIROS
23 May – 14 June 2025
Opening: 23 May, Friday
In this debut presentation, Halil Petük explores the relationship between image, memory, and absence through translucent surfaces and misty landscapes. Incorporating photographic elements such as framing, blur, and light into his painting practice—using acrylic and oil on canvas—he develops a visual language that privileges remembrance over clarity.
The Garden of the Silenced investigates how silence can take on a visual presence. Through layered surfaces and hazy vistas, Petük constructs a perceptual space that oscillates between memory and representation. His practice invites the viewer to navigate the gaps between image and meaning, and to reflect on the fading traces of memory.
